History
Halloween traces its origins to the ancient Celtic festival of
Samhain, celebrated by the Celts over 2,000 years ago.
Samhain marked the end of the harvest season and the
beginning of winter, a time when the boundary between the
living and the dead was believed to blur, allowing spirits to
roam the earth. The Celts would light bonfires and wear
costumes to ward off malevolent spirits, a tradition that
evolved into modern-day Halloween festivities.
